Cardinal Cross

The Cardinal Cross pattern of 2010 is finally breaking up.

We're beginning our attempt to evaluate what, if any were it's effects.

Dougy F. equates the whole thing to "palm reading".

Uncle Roany keeps wondering what they think in Pakistan.

In the interest of full disclosure, we rigged this chart just a little for effect.

Chicago remains the site for which the chart was cast, we moved the time from noon to 6 am in order to view for the last time the grand cross.

The Moon moves fast relative to the rest of the chart, and as such it's relationships within patterns are fleeting by comparison.

As always, Green is good, Red is bad, Purple isn't terrible, but it ain't all that helpful either.

Just one lonely little green dot where Saturn, The Moon, Venus and Mars conjunct (sharing about 6 degrees of space).

I've received well over a hundred emails on the Bradley/Cardinal Cross/Summer of Doom postings.

As usual, nobody has had the stones to comment here, not even the heretofor praised Kluck.

It has been fun to evaluate the responses with what I know about the responders.

Oh yes, you are all being evaluated ........... constantly.

Form mostly has held.

Mockers have mocked, skeptics have skepted.

Skept?

The more serious of my Christian friends at this site (a clear majority) have been a little startled by the biblical references that have been ........... ummmmm ............ referenced.

While the markets have mostly held, and maybe even strengthened some ........... so far.

The one thing that cannot be denied is that madness is everywhere, some of it mostly expected, some of it just flat out off the wall.

But madness is mostly always just around the corner, isn't it?

Of course.

The Earth itself has been behaving badly.

We've had massive fires, massive floods, mud slides, earthquakes, and oppressive heat everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere.

We've had a record freeze kill millions of tropical fish in the Southern Hemisphere.

Now we have the Sun firing up and bombarding planet Earth with "a coronal mass ejection".

I keep thinking I might like to have one of those for myself.

But,this kind of stuff is always going on, right?

Yup.

But has it ever felt this intense?

Have you ever felt the fear this thick?

Among my favorites of the several dozen platitudes I like to throw around is,

"Feelings are a lie".

The follow up statement being, "Have you ever had some feeling about a certain set of circumstances that proved to be just completely incorrect?"

Of course ...............

............. But then again.

To quote any number of the first generation Dago contractors I've known and loved,

"Ima don't know. Ya know?"

It’s also, pretty much word for word, the stuff of my August forecast, published last month: 

The fires, crashes, clashes and explosions that accompanied theMars-Saturn conjunction of late July are bound to continue well into August, with the Red Planet and the Ringed Planet staying so close in alignment for so long. Arguably, because it feeds into the Great T-Square pattern (which include Venus, up to mid-month), this looks to be more or less continuous through the 13th, with peaks around the 1st and 13th. It’s a cycle that operates at the individual as well as collective levels, from domestic violence and accidents to riots and rampages to spectacular mass-transport crashes; from spree killings and mass murders to military and paramilitary clashes. No global thermonuclear war stuff shows up, just threats and probes, surgical strikes and strategic assassinations, war lords and drug cartels mowing each other down . . . “ 

Now, the argument can been made that this kind of stuff goes on all the time, and I mostly agree.

Except at this instant it all feels a lot more intense to me.

In my little community, the little blind guy who has been walking around town for probably 20 years without incident was attacked by a gang of our local idiots, beaten with his own cane, and robbed.

My young friend Evan's dog was attacked by an enraged Muskrat.

Now, that don't happen everyday.

With regards to "The Bradley Model" as it pertains to the Stock Market?

Not so much.

More on that, Saturday.

And just in case, keep keeping your head on a swivel.

The following was taken from a piece at globalphysics.com titled The Global Cross of Julya and August (evidently, the editing at globalphysics is exactly as lame as it is at JustThinking)

I think it offers some insight into that aspect of astrology that promotes the most skepticism, if not outright scorn.

Aspect ..... get it?

That being the tendency on the part of Astrology's practitioners and true believers to just flat out cram an interpretation for a particular chart into their own, personal world view ........... after the fact.

In fairness to Astrology, the same can be said of climate science.

Or at least that which passes for climate science as practiced at Penn State University, the University of East Anglia, and NASA.

Although in the instance of climate science, financial considerations must be recognized.

I think what it comes down to is simply people being people, and feeling a human's need to define down the universe in which we live in order to feel bigger, stronger and a maybe little less like a pinball.

Mars conjunct Saturn, exact July 31.

This happens every two years on average. Mars swinging past Saturn tends to lend a militant edge to Saturn’s restrictive presence, quite often as a start/stop energetic that usually lasts only a couple of weeks during “normal” times. Mars will be within a five degree orb of influence to Saturn from July 21 to August 9 , effectively bracketing the most intense phase of the Cardinal Cross.

Mars’ previous conjunction with Saturn happened in July 2008, right when US voters were making up their minds about who would be next to enter the White House. Mars’ touch of militancy signaled a turn-off of McCain’s overly debilitated Saturnian (war-mongering) persona, switching many over to Obama’s more Uranian side, just a few short months before Saturn (McCain) and Uranus (Obama) reached their first precise opposition on Election Day.

Mars’ subsequent opposition to Saturn (April 2009) represented Obama’s attempts to wisely (Saturn) utilize troops (Mars) in Iraq and Afghanistan, a process necessarily involving extreme Saturnian patience. This is “why” it took him so long to come up with effective strategies, and why the jury is still out on the effectiveness of those moves.

And once again, at the risk of redundancy.

I'm back to my cheerful pursuit of monitoring The Bradley Model        and it's prognosticative powers as we approach the doom period of the summer of 2010.

The summer of 2010 reeks of doom.

And so far, considering a monumental ecological disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, not one, but two active volcanos thinking about erupting in Iceland, an extremely impressive meltdown of the world's #2 reserve currency, the governments of the eighth and twelfth (I think) largest economies in the world (California and New York) teetering on the brink of bankcrupcy, and ..... as a sweetner a couple of carrier groups and a nuclear armed submarine either heading for or already in the Persian Gulf ...

I'm giving the thing high scores for accuracy.

So ... just what exactly is the Bradley Model ... ummmm ... modeling ... viewing ... following ... I dunno ... doing.

As I explained once before.

It is simply charting the sum (positive or negative) of a set of mathematical values Mr. Bradley attached to the angles of relationship between the Sun, the Moon, and the planets within an astrological chart.

Planets in relationship of or near 0, 60, 90, 120 and 180 degrees were considered and a value (again positive or negative) was assigned each.

The positive or negative values were assigned on the basis of the historic consensus having to do with the benefic, or malefic qualities of each planet within each angular relationship between the planets.

Got it this time?

Why noon? Why Chicago?

Huh? ... or worse.

I understand completely and I am here to help you.

If you want to, you can safely ignore everything from here, all the way to ......

To begin with, you need to know the planets.

The purple 4 at about 9 o'clock is Jupiter.

On the positive side, Jupiter represents prosperity, growth, expansion.

On the negative side, Jupiter is inflation, over eating (spiritual, economic or physical) mistakes from overconfidence.

The light blue oval also wearing a crown at also at about 9 o'clock is Uranus.

Uranus is sudden, unexpected, explosive happenings, accidents.

Uranus is also genius, intuition, vision and breakthroughs.

The dark green th looking thing at 3 o'clock is Saturn. 

On the positive side, Saturn is common sense, practical, steady, discipline, structure.

On the negative side, Saturn is hard lessons, limits, obstruction, it's the ass kicking you typically get when you screw up.

The pink cup holding a ball is Pluto.

Pluto is endings and new beginnings, death and birth, upheaval, transformation, destruction, power struggles, revolution, crime, secret police, spies, hidden things, mines and wells.

The purple pitchfork at about 10 o'clock is Neptune.

Neptune is inspiration, spirituality, sensitivity, idealism, self sacrifice, utopia, collective society, dreams, glamor, fantasy, illusion, delusion, deceit, fog, fumes, drugs, alcohol and addictions.

The golden dot within a circle at about 6 o'clock is the Sun.

The Sun is the individual, the authentic self, the will and the ego.

It also represents the national leader, power, authority.

The silver crescent is of course the Moon.

The Moon is the unconscious mind, that which you know without thinking.

In mundane astrology it is the people, the masses and women.

The red sign of the male is of course Mars, the god of war with all that implies.

The sign of the female is Venus, the goddess of love.

The little brown horny looking thing at about 6:30 is Mercury.

Mercury is thinking, communication, transportation.

Mercury is also writers, agents, public speakers, travelers, and tricksters.

Planets sharing the same point of the circle tend to cooperate, or excite one another.

Planets at in opposite points of the circle conflict with each other (Red Lines).

Planets at 90 degree angles create friction between themselves (Red Lines).

Planets at 60 or 120 degree angles tend to assist one other (Green Lines).

Got all that?

At the risk of becoming redundant, don't worry about it.

All right, here's June 26, 2010, still noon in Chicago.

The reds thicken as the planets cluster in squares and opposition.

June 29, 2010, green disappears.

July 2, 2010 the greens return as the Moon makes nice with the Sun and Mercury, and the Sun and Mercury make nice with Mars (always a good thing).

 On July 23, 2010 the Moon plays nice with Neptune, while Uranus and Jupiter spend some quality time with the Sun who continues to make nice with Mars (still a good thing).

By July 27, 2010 much of the niceness is tapering off, leaving lots af opposition, friction, exciting and little else.

Red lines thicken as green lines disappear.

Until on August 6, 2010 all niceness disappears again as Uranus and Jupiter stand together in opposition with Venus, Saturn and Mars (never a good thing).

Until on August 7, 2010 the formation becomes complete as the Moon and Pluto also oppose each other while squaring everyone else.

The "Cardinal Cross".

It's Cardinal because of a bunch of stuff I don't have the energy to go into right now, but you can trust me on this one.

To quote Fred Fenster once again,

"This is very bad."

There remains much opposition and friction until the end of August.
